Some people are saying that the file on that mirror is corrupt. Can you
test it and let us know if it's ok?

Downloading from another mirror now...
Alan.
Do these cars really handle so shi**y in real life?
Understeer everywhere.

Worked fine for me FWIW.

Go to the downloads section (there's a link right next to the big graphic in
the middle that says "NAVIGATE!" with arrows pointing towards it. Once
there, it says Game Demo and there's a download link, and below it 4 more
that say "mirror" as well as the host name.
I don't know how they could have made it much easier actually...

The demo doesn't install Starforce when I run it and it didn't seem to care
whether I had it installed or not.
I'm thinking the Starforce notice might be a prelude to the final, full
version. I had the same experience. No Starforce installed.

It's also mentioned in the second paragraph of the readme, along with
information on how to remove it once you're done with the demo.
I'm sure that has something to do with people responding so negatively
towards developers who were more clandestine about it.
Jan.

Understeer was the problem with the press demo default setups too.
Have you tried tinkering with the setups?
And remember that there's no sim-mode in this demo...

Yeah, the default setups are awful. Presumably they've given the cars
bucketloads of understeer to make them a bit easier to handle for the noobs.
Increasing the front anti-roll bar is a good place to start....
