Well, sort of - you need to install the F1 2002 NOCD exe and then it works
fine....even Spa, Silverstone and Magny Cours work fine.  Of course, all the
other GP tracks are missing except Australia.

1. Install Demo
2. Copy over NoCD exe
3. Install GTR 2002 and run it once
4. Install GTR 2002 1.2 patch etc...

Hmm... I wonder how long it takes before EA contacts SBDT about
this...

Why? Because people would no longer buy F12002 especially for GTR2002?
That's hardly SBDT's problem, is it? :-)

Well, when EA gave SBDT the tools for AI development etc, they
probably assumed that ppl would have to own a copy of F1 2002 to play
GTR2002...

i'd go so far as to say it was probably a condition not just an assumption.

I'm a stat for them...no way I would have bought f12002 if it wasn't for gtr2002.

Sure, I understand. I don't know what the agreement is exactly between EA
and SBDT, I just don't see what they're going to do about it. GTR2002 is out
there, the F12002 demo is out there... it would be interesting to see how
this will be dealt with (if it will be dealt with at all).

Ditto here, too. But in the interest of keeping the peace between EA and
SBDT, I'd like to remind folks that F12002 can be purchased at a Walmart
Supercenter for $10. Give EA the business, download GTR2002, and remind
yourself that you just got the best *** deal since HalfLife!

Guess what ? Lots of people bought F1 2002 to play F1 2002, as it's a top
class game on it's own. The superb GT2002 is just an added bonus.

Is this the No CD "fixed" exe found on Game Copy World? I've been
looking all over for a copy of F1 2002 just to try GTR 2002 and if
this works at least I can get a taste of it for now.

Thanks

I'm surprised that the f12002/gtr2002 nocd exe seems to be officially
endorsed - well at least it is freely available and discussed on the
reputable forums - rather than just in places like gamecopyworld.

I thought game publishers/developers tried to stop nocd exe's?  Perhaps
EA/ISI have chosen to be more 'progressive' like iD who I remember took the
cd check out of later point releases for Quake2/3.
