MS FF Wheel and Joyswitch OK?

by -ice » Fri, 11 Dec 1998 04:00:00

I have a new MS FF Wheel and also a complete flight setup, so I
ordered a new joyswitch to save me the "on my back" time switching
cables every time I want to race or fly. Now i'm reading that it may
not work as the FF signal gets lost in the joyswitch. I find there is
a serial adaptor available for the MS FF joystick, but no mention of
the FF Wheel. Has anyone had any experience with this?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply Steve... I called MS Support as a precautionary
measure to try to ascertain whether or not the serial adapter cable
they offer for the MS FF Joystick would be applicable for the FF
Wheel. While they don't support it, the tech (nice talking to an
intelligent tech support guy for a change, thanks Philip) agreed to
send me a cable to try.. If I don't need it, great!

Phil Saitta???  I know him.  It's all a facade.  He's not that bright....
:-)

OK.....

Yes he is, but don't tell anyone that I admitted publicly to his
brightness..... :-)

My Joyswitch is several years old.  And, it does NOT work
with MS FF Wheel.  Has the joyswitch hardware recently been
updated to support midi?

Ok, got one does and one doesn't... As my Joyswitches are obviously
going to be the latest incarnation (haven't even arrived yet) Maybe
they have changed?

Anyone else?
