This is going to be a bit of overkill for you, but go to The Pits and
download the Carsound utility. This allows you to set a different sound for
each car in the game. The original doubles up on a couple of them and only
has 5 actual sounds for the 7 cars.
Next, still at The Pits, find a Ferrari sound you like, they have several
variants of sampled Ferraris, all better than the original which lacks some
of the feel of "The universe being ripped apart" actual Ferraris have.
Now, take any wav files you want and name them bra.wav, fer.wav, cov.wav,
brm.wav, eag.wav, lot.wav and mur.wav. Add an f2f3.wav for the trainers.
Just place these in the GPL sound folder and roar away. Make sure that all
seven wav files are present or it won't work. To restore the original sounds
just delete these wav files.
In your case, just copy the Ferrari wav of your choice seven times over and
name them as above. You'll be all set.
Of course, while you're at the Pits you might discover car sound sets with
good individual sounds that will make you happy. I did.

Extracting the original sounds:
- Copy sound.dat and unpack.exe into same folder.
- Go to DOS prompt and switch to the folder.
- Type "unpack sound.dat" - The original wavs are extracted into the folder,
and you can then rename or modify them.
