Hi there !

Is there a chance of swapping the enginesounds in GPL ??? I REALLY
like this raw Ferrari-sound but I prefer the handling of the Lotus.

Hi, Matthias,
Just unpack the SOUND.DAT file, located in the SOUND directory in your
GPL folder and copy the Ferrari.wav file over to the Cosworth.wav file
and all will be well...

eg: copy ferrari.wav cosworth.wav [ENTER]

NOTE: Make sure you back up your sound file first.....

Sorry, but how can I unpack a *.dat-file ?? I tried almost everything...
without success :-/

To get the unpacker, go to the PITS
http://www.theuspits.com/stockcar.html
and download the file: Dat file Pack/Unpacker by Corey Rueckheim..

That should cure all your problems... Have fun!

Thanx for your posting...but the site doesn't exist ;-(

Is there another site where the file is located ?? I don't even
understand why it's not at the GPL HQ (gpl.gamestats.com)...!?
