To a non-simmer. Any program with flying wwII planes or racin' cars or
shooting up Aliens all fall under the category of 'game.' WE know
differently...but then...WE 'ARE' different.

One would hope that the powers to be at Microsoft still remember all
those negative reviews and comments about CPR. One would think that if
they're ready to try it again, that they now know the right direction to
take.

Are any of the current MS game division employees still the same from
waaaay back when CPR was released? Memory only works if you were there to
remember it. :) What I remember one of the developers chatting quite
freely here about the pre-release of cpr. But when we started pointed out
big-time errors...he disappeared faster than....

Just another wuss who couldn't handle the reality of a sim community. <g>
"They" (the marketing types trying to plug their product) are all the
same... underestimate what it takes to produce something being worthy of
being labelled "a sim". Once the requirements become apparent (notably in
the controller configuration department) they bid a hasty retreat.
Cowards... the lot of them. Kudos to Bugbear for sticking to their title, no
matter what.
That said, I quite liked CPR. AI was more than a bit suspect, but, on non-FF
wheels, the magic was there. I wouldn't mind MS having another crack at it.
As long as they realise that a title that tries to be both a game and a sim
never works.
