Not me.....those cars are totally boring to drive......drove an F1 car at a
"vintage" event in Portland a few years back. I felt like I could read the
Sunday paper, shave and drink coffee, while turning 56 flats.
Gosh....totally boring.....like the car was attached to the track via a rail
system. You could make up for all your entry and line mistakes with massive
horsepower and with rear downforce so strong...even throttle modulation was
child's play. The guys who drive these modern open wheel marvels of
technology are whimps. Let me see them handle a 3500 lb, fire breathing V8
on a tight road course (like Sears)....then I might consider them to be
"race car drivers".....until then...they are whimps!
Why would I then want to drive one of these "whimp cars" in a racing
simulation? Geeeeez...that'd be about as much fun as watching Sierra.com
Talladega "pick up race" replays. All you GP3 sim driver whimps out
there.....get yourself a real racing simulation.....buy N4. Let me see you
turn a 95 (mph) at Sears...or a 117 (mph) at Watkins....then you can call
yourself a sim driver. Until then....your just a sim racing driver "wanna
be"....playing "games" on your PC.
Isn't there a new newsgroup, "rec.autos.simulator.whimps?" Could you guys
"stay on the porch" and move over there.....and leave r.a.s. for the rest of
us "big dogs?" We've got serious racin' stuff to talk about here. You guys
can discuss where you're having your nails done next week....over on
r.a.s.w!
Thanks......
