Incite magazing has info on new CART sim

Could someone please check it out?

I would bet it's the arcade license that Konami or somebody snagged
last year. Haven't heard much since the announcement, should be in
some form by now.

I got the magazine today and it has Juan Pablo telling
how his playing of sims helped him drive. The sim is
not a CART sim but an IRL one. Indy Racing 2000. They
apparently had an alpha or early beta and weren't going
to commit either way about it. Developer is Real Sports (huh?)
to be published by GT Interactive.

Montoya said he used Microsoft Cart Precision Racing to
learn the tracks. He's also a big fan of GP2 .. he's played
it for several years. He really perked up when told that GP3
was coming out "real soon now" ..

I leafed through the magazine myself. I noticed that Montoya
was such a big fan of GP2 that he's played it since 1994! :-)

Actually I was off base. I just saw the mag. The story is mainly about
Juan Montoya and how he's sim player. But there is a small sidebar
about Indy 2000. A GT Interactive IRL sim title that "should" be ready
in the 3rd quarter of this year. All the drivers, tracks and cars...
