or one of his minions in here?  If so, what was his excuse?

He is working on GP3, should be out in 2000, with the 97 season cars ;-)
Still, GP2 is great.
BTW, has anybody ever heard anything from anybody at Microprose
?????????????

Geoff Crammond has never posted on r.a.s. at least I have never seen
anything posted by him and I have been lurking here since the
group started, maybe in a thread I never read, but I doubt it.

Microprose had a representative here when GP2 finally released,
I think his name was Gabe Turk or something similar as I recall
he was around for about the two weeks that GP2 was available
in Europe and not here in the states, took a lot of grief from
some of us eager Yanks wondering why it was released so late
here, and since then he has not made his presence known.

Always be aware that probably only 50% of the readers actually
post to r.a.s. there are a whole bunch of people who just lurk
until they have something usefull to contribute, maybe Geoff or
a Microprose programmer reads r.a.s. without posting.

Personally I think GP2 is an orphan, Microprose has gone on to
newer projects, too bad... they could at least tell us once and
for all if there will or won't be an update.

Papy takes a lot of heat on r.a.s. but at least they are here
and that counts for something with me, Microprose is a company
on the way down, I suppose they don't care to have a loyal customer
base when they already have our $$$$.

Note: I am a fan of both GP2, ICR2 and Nascar2, so there's no bias there.

Cheers.

That's pretty much Microprose company policy these days. The "Across
The Rhine" fiasco really lowered my respect for Microprose. Any
software developer looking for a publisher should stay away from
Microprose/SH.

Mister Geoff and his comets are making GP-TRICK 3 for the Halloween.
In the next game you'll have a still better graphic, a much better
real sound and will be impossible to drive within. As GP2 it will be
only destined to genius all over the world. If now GP2 has the ace
level for just 0.001 percent of people able to win a championship at
it, in GP-TRICK 3 will be only about dozen people able to handle the
so called "simulation". I'm sorry, not dozen people, I forgot to count
on his own, the best driver: Mr. Crammond!

I think he took the money and drove off......drove off alot of customers
like myself that got sucked into purchasing a BETA ver. in a fancy box.

Im a little dissapointed that it doesn't run very well w/ my P200Intel,
4 meg of video ram(Matrox Mystique), 64 meg of EDO ram - maybe it needs
a Cray to run properly w/ all the features on ??

I want a refund and then I want to shove his product up his.....

Now back to the regularly schedualed program....

Hey...

Ace isn't that hard... Once you get your car set up right...

Take Monaco for example...  they ai's are pretty slow turning into the
tunnel & at the corner after the tunnel you can outbreak 'm without too
much tire wear...  just the right setup that's all :)

Hmmmmmmmm.

Personally I think it's an awesome game and it runs very well on my
P133 - 32Meg EDO - Matrox 2Meg machine.

How do you make out it's a BETA then?  Does it crash all the time?
Does it not have a feature that you read on the box should be there?
I don't think so.

There are certainly improvements that could be made but I haven't seen
one bit of software that you could say that about.

In my opinion it is an excellent game and excellent value for money.

Thanks Geof Crammond!!!!!!!!!!!

The game runs very well on my P100, med-graphics, OCC%
of 85-110 (most tracks), 16Mb, and a Rendition card.  :)

No it will be in 2057 and because of this long period they will call it:
"Nostalgia Gp3 1995".  But will all his money GCrammond is more
interested in relaxing in his mansion on Hawaii.    :)

>>You his brother or something?

Before you criticise Geoff Crammond and GP2 bear in mind that his achievements over
the past few years will bring more enjoyment to people than you could do over 5
lifetimes. I would have quite willingly paid 10 times the price to play it, and
it was the reason I upgraded my computer and got a T2.

GP2 is an *incredible* achievement, and to all its and Geoff's critics I have to
quote, from the film `outlaw':
"He's such a great man that you'd have to stand on your
granpappy's shoulders just to kiss his ass"
                                    (Steve McQueen).
