No they will not, as the Rendition version is incompatible with any
other 3D card.  They would have to make a Virge port for the Diamond
card (which will not be happening).  Even if such a port was made, it
would look better than the standard version, but it would most likely
be slower then the regular version.  The current Virge cards (like your
Diamond) are not viable 3D solutions.

Adam, Will papy be putting out a version of the nr2 to run in rendition mode
with the stealth 2000 3d card any time in the future.

thank you
Joel Guy

ps, you all did a great job on nascar2 ,just wish the walls between track and
pits were not there like at real tracks. maybe in next version or fix

Have a Merrry Christmas

How about for the sake of reality?  No wall, equals realism;  last time
I checked that's what simulations were doing, simulating reality.  Not a
big deal, but maybe to someone it is.  I saw the Papyrus Daytona track
for N1 at Daytona USA theme park and it was awesomely real; ie. no wall.

Just my $.02

What makes them "not viable 3D solutions."?

They are just too slow at 3D to be of any real use as compared to the
second generation accelerators like the Rendition and 3Dfx cards.

Computer *** World rates the Diamond as having "so-so 3D
performance".

PC Computing says the "Diamond is a ViRGE-based board that offers the
carefully worded claim of 'outrageously fast graphicsplus 3-D!' The
Stealth does indeed deliver top 2-D graphics performance, ... Its
average 3-D acceleration may disappoint those who assume the 'plus 3-D'
part will also be of the 'outrageously fast' variety".

Ask around in the comp.sys.ibm.pc.hardware.video newsgroup for some
opinions of the current Virge cards.

There are other ways to prevent cheating.  Maybe once Papyrus figures
out the best way to do this without physical barriers, they will return
the tracks to their more authentic look.  I, for one, don't mind the
walls.  I understand why they are there.  I do hope they will eventually
be gone.
