F1 2000, How do you install it?

I unzipped all the files. When I run unrar.exe (can't find a windows
version)  it just keeps going, overwriting files. I let it run for an hour
and stopped it. I ran the .bat file, updated the registry and ran the
f1config. When I try to play the game it says it can't find scene files.
What a waste of an evening ;)    Any help?

I believe you have to use the Windows version in order to preserve the
long filenames, etc.  You can get WinRAR from www.rarsoft.com.

Who knows...once you get it working, you might still find it was a
waste of an evening!  ;-)

Download winrar and try it with that one. If it doesn't unpack
correctly, your f1 2000 files are propably corrupt.
No wonder why your game doesn't run if you stopped the unpacking of
the files!

Thanks gents. I got unrar.exe working. I forgot to use the x command to
unpack to the correct directories. Before, I know it was just overwriting
its files, the size of the folder wasn't getting any bigger ;)   I haven't
found the fps key yet, but its not too bad in test drive mode with
everything at Max at 1024. Definitely need a light throttle foot.
