Help - I just tried to access VROC and my firewall went crazy

Is this normal?

I finally decided to give online GPL a go, so I went to www.vroc.net and had a
look around to see what was involved.

The next thing I know my firewall (BlackIce Defender) starts alerting me to over
half a dozen UDP port probes & DoS overload attempts.

I realize that this may be necessary for the service to work, but I would just
like to confirm that everything is normal.

Many thanks for any help.

yes, in fact the Vroc sign up should have alerted you to
at least two times the browser's security functions would ask if
you wanted to continue.  Firewall's and online *** are not
good buddies!

Thanks for putting my mind at rest Dave.

I didn't actually notice any warnings (I'm not saying they weren't there), only
a question about whether I wanted to run something that had been certified by
Alison Hine.

Sadly it was all in vain though, every time I tried to race online my mouse
froze at the setup screen (a known problem apparently). Oh Well.

Thanks again
