Firewall (ZAP) vroc question

Hi,

I have Zone Alarm Pro.  Under the programs section I've added gpl.exe and
winvroc.exe and i've ticked 'allow connect' and 'allow server' for both.
Despite this if I race with ZAP running, the whole PC freezes dead (not
straight away, often during track transitions).  Also if I host with ZAP
running, no one else can join.

I'm not getting any of those yellow pop-up windows from ZAP, so I don't
think it's those making GPL crash.  Also without ZAP running, hosting and
racing online if perfectly fine.

Anyone know if ZAP can be made to work with GPL and Vroc?
TIA,
Simon.

Not sure if it'll work but try changing the security settings from High to
medium this "Leaves your computer and servers visible to the Internet"

Thanks for the help, but I believe he is talking about the freeware Zone
Alarm, and not Zone Alarm Pro.

Zone Alarm Pro is supposed to work with GPL.  Anyway, I'll read the rest of
that thread, see if I can pick up some tips.

Turn it off. Much easier than playing with it. Start it up again when you
finish your game.

Simon, I have ZApro as well and get a lock up each time I leave the
track. I think it's a bug with it because I have no problem with the
other servers I have set up. Just locks up once you leave the race
session. I had to manually add it as well.

I looked for days to find a pattern to when ZoneAlarm worked with
GPL/Vroc and when it did not, and I could not find any type of
pattern.

It works fine on some computers and on others it does not.
