I want to get a new system but am unsure what I should get. Some people tell
me
to get a PII 400 and some a Celeron 400.I want to play Grand Prix
Legends,The
new Monaco F1 simulator,Nascar 1999 and Nascar 3 when it comes out.I have a
P133 with a voodoo 1 card.I have no hard drive space left and don't want to
buy
another one because it's not worth upgrading a 133.I only know how to do
basic
things when it comes to upgrading like ram and expansion cards.I here the
Celerons are a great and inexpensive way to get fast performance if you
overclock them.Does anyone know what you can overclock a Celeron 400 to and
give me a brief descripton on how to do it?Any help would be appreciated.
I suggest you check out the following newsgroup for details. That's where I picked
up all I needed to know.:
alt.comp.hardware.overclocking
If you end up buying an ABIT motherboard to overclock, as many overclockers do,
here's another newsgroup:
alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.abit
Hope this helps...

It's a pretty easy upgrade to do if your CD, floppy, etc are up to speed.
Then you just need a new motherboard, the cpu, and new memory for the mobo.
It usually works out to around $500-$700 vs $1500 for a new everything.
