GPL (Papy) AI ???

Hi all..In their Nascar games this line (in a specific track folder)

ai_line_modifier = 1.01

can be altered or deleted to allow the cars to run multiple lines through
the turns.

Is there anything in GPL like this? In other words to allow the cars to take
a different line through the corner?

Thought I would ask.

I think that applies mostly to ovals.  The GPL AI are already smart enough
to take a different line if there is a reason for them to do so.

Except if they're behind you going into the Parabolica, or into
Crowthorne, or into...........................  :)

right..that is what I am kind of getting at. Your running your own line and
they just come right through you.

Must be a slight adjustment one can make to make an offline race more
enjoyable.

I don't have an answer, but the poor solution is to learn the AI's
patterns.  If you KNOW they will come down at a certain point...Do not put
yourself there.  It ain't the best way..but it will keep your fenders on a
little longer.

There is an adjustment that I have read about that makes them sense you a
bit earlier or something, but honestly, most of the problems go away when
you get up to their speed.

I used the AI Tweaker to slow the whole field down (and turn off the damned
AI always get faster and faster so you can never beat them "feature") as I
learned each track.  As my times got faster, I bumped up the AI speed, too,
until eventually they are at 100%.
