Whenever I run the demo, I get past the intro screen, I select the
track, but when I get to the next screen (the one showing the garage),
when I choose any of the options at the bottom of the screen, the game
locks up.  Also, the image being shown (the garage) never looks right.
It's as if there's stuff missing (no car showing, only a windshield or
part of it).  I have a Pentium processor and 16M RAM.  I have fully
installed the demo.  I don't know what the problem is.  Also, I never
get any sound (even though I have set up and tested my soundcard).
Thanks for any help.  I'm dying to try this demo out!!

I had the same problem.  I finally solved it by making a boot floppy and
running the demo from that.  I never did bother to figure out where
the conflict was, but something in the normal boot sequence was
conflicting with the sound configuration. Hope that helps.
