That's where we basically differ opinions, It's one of the profound and
intense scene Kubrick has ever shot, the whole scene is incredibly tight and
disturbing.  The fact is, the DVD Region 1 should had been uncensored,
because heck it's a DVD for the *** fans.  Heck, it's still censorship,
and should never be done anyway.

Well for me they are all his "best" movies.  Except Fear and Desire.

Of course it's not.  You can take my words for it :)

I was going to write that in my first post... ;)

That blue color is really, really ugly on a HOTAS.

Thanks for the info. I'm just testing a Radeon 7500 and...
(I'm just amazed by the diff to my trusty V5, the amazing performance just
made me drive N4 for 2 hours, although I just wanted to test ALL my sims, dammit!).
...will install that driver before I get back to Il-2 again.

Ok, I'm amazed by the Radeon 7500, now I'm thinking: what diff would a GF3 Ti 200 make?
It's only about 60 Dollars more...

Considering an overclocked Ti 200 runs at stock GF3 speeds, I think it's
worth the $60. ;0)

what do you mean?  i don't mean annoyed by the role in the movie.  i
meant the actor portraying the role just annoyed me.  the kid in the
mummy2 who played an annoying (to the bad guys) brat was actually
quite funny i thought.

mind you, watching Mark Hamill, Harrison Ford, Billy Dee Williams and
especially Carrie Fisher act in the original movies hardly looks like
good acting at all.  still the movies are still great despite that.  i
sort of fondly overlook them (the performance, i mean)  as I still
enjoy the first 3 movies so much.

here's hoping for episode 2.  the whole clone wars title makes it
sound very 'B' movie-ish.  I'm sure that could have had a more
dramatic title.  i know the clone wars are referred to in the other
movies, but sheesh.  not a good beginning imo.  whats next?
episode 3 - jedi mania?

oh okay.  er. erm.  Episode 2, its no GPL.. And, erm,  CART SIM!!

Exactly, mini-Darth should not be cute, cuddly and all around loveable.  He
should be an annoying kid that you might want to smack if his parents
weren't looking.  ;0)

The actor acts the way the director wants him to act, remember.  It's the
way he is scripted.  Anakin was not meant to be funny, nor the type of
emotions of the little kid in the Mummy Returns (which was an awful waste of
celluloid I say).

Well exactly ;)

Yeah, especially the great title that is "The Empire Strikes Back".

SW : Pod Racing is pretty good ;)

I know Andre, I know (don't tell me how to fly a prop, bud). Reduced to
keyboard here though as I gave my TM FCSII, WCS throttle and rudder pedals
to someone who still has time left to invest in flight sims. Strange that,
haven't seen him around since IL2 release. Even more so as he's usually a
bit of a jet jockey.<g>

Anyhow, I gave up flight simming after I got kicked and temporarily banned
from a Warbirds server after breaking away from a reserve position in a
bomber escort squadron to help another player I knew (who was under attack).
I don't know how the online scene has evolved... are there still saddos
lurking in the practise areas hoping for an easy kill?? I met some like
that, although some of them changed their mind instantly after I showed them
the business end of a Typhoon. ;-))

GPL in 3D... highly confusing. And to think I used to be quite good at this
sort of thing. Flight simming is not like riding a bike.

It's disturbing, but is it really more disturbing just because you see
some more details? But ofcourse I fully agree that it should not have
been censored at all, that was simply ridiculous.

I never heard of that one.. time to check IMDB.. One of his average
early works I assume?

K.. maybe I didn't like Episode I also because of the MAJOR hype, at
least here in Holland. Same thing going on now with that Harry Potter
movie.. I hate that.
