thorin sits down and starts singing about a pot of gold.

0.02 cents to anyone who knows that reference :)

about episode 2 ymenard, i hope its better than 1.   I'm assuming that
the irritating little boy is gone and that jar jar's role is reduced
ten fold.

i watched the mummy returns last night and was struck by how much
better the kid was in the movie.  didn't annoy me as much as the young
anakin did.

that reminds me of my favourite episode 1 joke.

why do all the star wars fans keep watching episode 1 over and over
again?

to convince themselves that they loved the movie.

just my opinion of course.

oh, one last thing, and just as off-topic.

some guy phoned into a local radio station complaining that in episode
one, Darth Vader is made out to be Jesus Christ.  Apparently the lack
of a father for Anakin means that his mother had a *** birth and
yadda yadda yadda (yawn).

what next?
Regards all,
istoff

My guess is the game based on the book.

Damn! I think you are right. I had it in mind too, because it sounds
very gamish, but I couldn't remember that line. But it dawns on me
now. The good old days... When each picture was drawn with one
background colour and black as foreground, and it took a minute to
draw on my Oric Atmos :)

They only censored one scene right? I downloaded that scene from the
internet, and imho it doesn't add anything to EWS.
Also doesn't change anything to the fact that I think EWS is one of
his best movies.. and not only because you see Kidman *** in it :)
But I think I'm the only one in the world with this opinion :)

Not if Episode II becomed just as crappy as Episode I..

Thanks for the tips guys.. I didn't expect a problem at all (saitek on
usb, ch on analogue, how could possibly not work?)
But good to hear good old Stickworks brings a solution - again :)

I don't think much has changed.. to be honest the x45 is quite ugly,
it's blue now, but I heard and read the springs in the x45 have
improven a lot.. Oh well, a can of black paint should do wonders.

I know what you mean.. that NukeUSB step sounds *** indeed :)

My friend, those are not "the good old days".  The true "good old days" were
the days of Infocom text adventures.  You had words to read, and word to
type.  That was it.  No fancy 3D cards, no gigahertz processors, but
strangely, the images conveyed were some of the most vivid, and the gameplay
was some of the best.  Funny thing, that imagination thing.  :-)

Stephen

p.s. don't even get me started on Harry Potter Lego....

Erm, the Hobbit computer game was a text adventure, where you had to
type in sentences. But hey, what do I know, I didn't get a computer
until 1982, when I was about 8 :)

You're telling me.. I finished ALL Infocom adventures.. mostly on my
own ;)
Quite some people are still making new adventures for the Infocom
parser, which is all being released as public domain. Some of them are
truly on the same level as the Infocom classics..
If you're interested I'll mail you the urls when I get home.

That bit is worrying me about the Lord of the Rings movie..
will we see Hobbit Lego, Hobbit candy and Hobbit T-shirts at every
store? I hope not :(
