Hi guys just curious here.

When running on Monza, what is your typical laptimes during an
*offline* race, not practice or hotlaps, but race conditions.

I usually clock in laptimes in the 1:29.4x -> 1.30.4x range.

How does that compare to your laptimes.

(I'm driving the Eagle by the way, and i suck at hotlapping. All my
fastest laps are set during races).

Thanks in advance

Get your ass down to http://www.vroc.net now!

You're right there with the medium-to-fast guys, so unless a bunch of
hotshoes turns up you should be running pretty near the front,
especially if you can do that consistently.

Much more fun to join in with the GPL online community!

Those are pretty good times.  That is about what I run and I am usually in
the front half of the grid.

I strongly encourage you to get into online racing.  It's alot of fun.

I stongly encourage anyone who is thinking about online racing to join in.
There are alot of servers running and we need drivers to fill them.

Sounds like you're ready to me.  I run the Ferrari at Monza between high
129s and low 130s.  From what I can tell so far (only been racing online
for 2 weeks now) if you can simply stay out of trouble and finish the
race, you've got a good chance of finishing on the podium.  There's lots
of hotlappers out there who can set incredible lap speeds, but I haven't
seen too many that can do so for a whole race without putting it in the
rhubarb several times.  Just be consistant.  LOL.

I think it would help immensely if from time to time someone hosted a race
for newbies.  We need the opportunity to make connection and graphics
adjustments, and learn how to race online, without screwing up other peoples
precious racing time.

I could go for this too.  Maybe we could set something up in the future, or have
a preset "newbie" time on a particular server?

I'm sure I could race with the better drivers for comic relief.  I can stay out
of thier way and they can lap me over and over and over again.

How about using one of the dedicated servers for this?  Many of then are
often not being used.

Get on-line now, what are you waiting for?

Those times are easily good enough for on-line racing (better than
average maybe?) Personally I only manage around 1:32's or 1:33's in
on-line racing, though my best ever is 1:30:09 (I'm still trying to
crack sub 1:30!!!

Yes.  I meant novice races for newbies. There must be (I hope) a lot of slow
guys out there.
