I have tried it, but see no laptime. Where do I have to look?

Also, how do you save just the replay of the fast lap?

Thanks,

Ok.. When you finish your fast lap in the alpha preview, press ESC. Now go
at the upper left of the screen and click on the arrow. The page will turn
to the "practice times". The last one you did is the one at the bottom of
the list.  Only problem is that the alpha preview wasn't optimized for the
client/server, so while you as the client are watching the time the server
is still continuing in real time, so you can't pause.

Of course the final release is different, as you can pause the game.

To same a fast lap, check out the replay bar under the main track screen.
There is a little box image with a crack in it (well it looks like a [/]  ).
Click on it 1 time, and it's the start of the replay. Click another time and
you end what you want to save.

A box will appear with the name you want for it.

Go back to the pre-race screen, which has the tv picture and replay
buttons and the picture of the circuit. Click on the event button under
the circuit picture and it changes to laptimes. You can now see your
previous laptimes.

Again, go back to the pre-race screen where you have all the replay
buttons under the tv picture. The replay buttons do the following....

Buttons from left to right:

I<<  = go back to *start* of replay.
<<   = rewind (press more than once to speed up rewind)
I<   = rewind one frame at a time.
II>  = Toggles between play/pause.

The *other* buttons do the following....

Button that looks like a roll of film = press once to *start* saving a
reply, press a second time to *stop* saving a replay. It's like an
*edit* or *record* button?

Button that looks like a minature file folder = saves the *whole*
replay of the last few laps without any editing.

Button that looks like two overlapped boxes = toggles between the
window TV picture of the replay and a full screen replay.

Last button on right = toggles between the different camera views which
are available.

So to save a really fast lap as a replay.....

1) Once you have completed the lap, press escape to go back to the
pre-race screen.
2) Rewind the replay to where you want to *start*, eg:- usually just
before you start the fast lap?
3) Pause the replay.
4) Press the record/edit button (press once)to start saving the replay.
5) Allow the replay to run until your fast lap has finished.
6) Press the record/edit button (press once) to stop recording the
replay.
7) A box will appear, you should type in a filename for the replay.

Thats it, you should now have a recording of your fast lap, which you
can view anytime by going back to the first options screen, and
selecting view reply, then select the appropriate file to view.
