Hi,

What sort of improvements are people getting in their laptimes with the
final version of GPL? Do setup changes make a big difference?
At present my best laps with the demo are 1m08.97 at the 'Glen and
1m31.98 at Monza. Hopefully I'll be able to improve so I can race with
the AI cars competitively!

Cheers!

I am concentrating at Monza at the moment and I have been able to shave
almost 3 second off my time with just some minor tweaks (I wasn't that
hot with the demo).  The really good thing, is that with a setup to
match my driving style, I am alot more consistent.

Practice 1:30.36.1
Race     1:30.57.0

Well I my best with the demo was um, 1:34 something, but now Im using
the ferrari and I got 1:32.78, and with the lotus I got 1:32.26.
The Ferrari is my own setup, and the lotus is the one of Dave
Mansell's page.

Those are nice lap times with that crumby setup.  You'll do very nicely.  I
just ran an intermediate race at Monza, and your time would have certainly been
in the top 10, probably more like 6 or 7.  I think you'll find you will need to
aclimate yourself to the new default setup for a while, even before you begin
tinkering with it.  I find it quite different.  You're gonna have SOME fun.
