I just got a TSW sport. In GPL I am not sure where to set the Linearity for
steering.
Should I set it to the extreme left (Linearity) or to the extreme right
(Non-Linearity)?
Let me know where you have yours set and why?  Thanks... Ron

Hi

The more left you put it... the more sensitive it will be..  the more right..
the more dull ...

I put mine about 3/8s the way from the left

Or so...

Try that.  probably the best..

the 1 represents where I have it set ,    ......1............................
, It's just personal preference , I could be wrong , but it seems like it's
more responsive , or less lag , enjoy your TSW.
Happy Motoring !!

Real cars (at least in the GPL era) have only linear steering, if that makes
any difference to you.  The slider is just to prevent over-steering for
those people with crappy controllers (or joysticks which are more difficult
to return to centre)...I don't think you have to worry about either of those
possibilities.

Marc.

I do not own a TSW, however regardless of controller the setting should have
the same general effect.  All the way to the left is linear, which
theoretically means if you move you wheel 15% of its range to the left, the
wheels on the car will steer 15% of their range to the left.  All the way to
the right is non-linear, which means steering sensitivity will be reduced at
the center of your contollers range of travel and enhanced at its extremes.
For example maybe moving your wheel 15% left of center will only move the
wheels on the car 5% of their range to the left, while moving it 50% left of
center will move the wheels 75%.  Pretty wordy but I hope it makes sense.
Personally I have the slider full left, I just like the way that feels.

Hi!
Strange, seems I'm the only one who has set the slider like
this...........................|..... and feeling comfotable with it, as the
left part is too twitchy for me; guess everyone has to make it up for
himself, also depends on the combination with the steering-ratio in
car-setup...
cya on track!

You're not alone.  I set mine exactly the same (TSW2 Stock).  Maybe
because i'm not as good at controlling the car but it seems easier to
keep straight...

I have mine set just under the "a" in "Linear". I also have the good "Spec
pots" which give very steady readings and help make the car controllable on
the straights while still giving quick response in corners. For me, the
non-linear setting made the response of the car non-linear (surprise!),
which in turn made it difficult for me to control.
