>> Yeah, I know.  Next week we start all over again. :)

What tracks will be racing at?

Cheers,

Uwe

PS: I enjoyed my first RASCAR event, even if it started with a
black flag in lap #1 for overtaking *after* going green, but
*before* the line 8-P

From what I recall and watching the replay on my PC,

Eldred was the first inline that backed off and stayed behind the pacecar...
Once Ian & co came up and lapped us...  Eldred passed the pacecar, but Uwe
(who I think was a lap down) stayed behind the pacecar - meaning that the
rest of us couldnt pass him without being told to "stay behind XX"... and
thus we lost a[nother] lap :-(

Yeah...its a pain in the ***to have to do it......but I've done it many
times.  Its the best all around........since you are probably going to get
penalized anyway....and at least the other drivers don't.  But...its still
hard to give up your hard earned track position and head into the pits.

Are you going to post the server replay on the Web site?  I will be
interested to see what actually happened.  Usually if I am not the
leader and I find myself behind the pace car I will try to go ahead
and pass it to see if the spotter starts having a fit.

One thing is for certain myself and the 68 car defenitely benefited
from it.  Not only did it only leave 4 cars on the lead lap, but we
were able to pit for 4 fresh tires which left the 14 and the other car
as sitting ducks.  They probably didn't realize what happened in time
or they would have pitted too.

The spotter can be ambiguous at best in situations were you take the
yellow and the leader has not taken it yet and I have seen the spotter
***up before.  I wouldn't be surprised if this was one of those
situations.   There are definetly bugs in the scoring code and I
wouldn't be surprised if you all were a victim of one.

I forgot all ABOUT it...  I actually went in to the office Monday for something
else, and copied the files to my FTP server, intending to update my webpage.  I
hadn't checked r.a.s. since then to remind myself.  I'll try to remember it
tomorrow.

In that case, no it wasn't.  I was only ahead of the cars that had crashed.  I
was the slowest thing on the track, so it really didn't MATTER that I went back
to last...
I've done the same thing from a tactical standpoint.  Pit off sequence during a
yellow flag to maybe catch a break on fuel mileage.  I'm last ANYWAY - mayne I
can get a good finishing position simply by not having to make a green flag
stop.  Hasn't worked yet, though... :(
