NASCAR3/N3 - Menu Lockup/Hang/Freeze

Anyoone else experiencing a lockup/hang/freeze when returning to the
menu's after exiting the track?  I've heard of others who get screen
freezes while on the track, but I get totally frozen when exiting the
track after hitting escape.

I'm running in 3DFX/Glide mode 800x600... Windows is running in
1024x768.  Here are my system specs:

Pentium II 400 w/ 128M SDRAM (100Mhz FSB) - ASUS P2B
Maxtor 11.5GB IDE
Western Digital 4.0GB IDE
Matrox G200 AGP

Creative AWE64 Value
Diamond MonsterSound M80

Windows 95 "c"
DirectX 6.1
Latest Diamond Drivers  (2.03)

I have experienced it a few times (maybe 3 or 4).

Marc.

NASCAR3/N3 - Menu Lockup/Hang/Freeze

I think I solved it last night...   it looks like the hang is caused
by my (piece of sh*t) Monster Sound M80.  I disbaled the Monster Sound
acceleration and set by Creative AWE64 as the default wave-out device
(in control panel/multimedia), and the problem didn't occur....

It wasn't like the Monster Sound M80 was working anyway, as I think it
only supports A3D 1.0 and its DirectSound3D support is pretty sketchy.
So, I was able to get 3D sound...   (sigh)...

I guess the guys with Monster Sound Mx300's are doing OK... thinking of
getting one, or some other 3D sound card.
