slow A.I. cars in GPL during warmup

Something that happens quite often during warmup laps in GPL is A.I.
that drive around the course very slowly, as if they've blown an
engine or something... I rarely notice this during a race only during
warmup, but its a bit annoying to be flying along turn 3 at Mosport
and come upon an A.I. car doing around 45MPH,, is there a resolution
for this..?

thanx

Welcome to the wonderful world of racing, where sometimes there are
slow-moving cars in inconvenient places :^)

Honestly, not sure if there's a cure for it - I see it sometimes, but not so
often that it seems like a problem.

like they've damaged something,, oh well.. it keeps the reflexes in
tip top shape, hahah

They're bedding in their brake pads.

Quite true - didn't mean to make light of such a real-life situation, of
course.

Apologies for the late follow up, but it's been a while since I visited
ras.  Anyway, there is a cure, as it annoyed me also when I'd be on a
good qualy lap only to be thwarted by the slowpoke AI.  Long time now
but I believe it's the line in the gpl_ai.ini file:

slow_lap_speed_adj_coeff =

The nearer to 1.0 that you set it, the faster they go during their
warmup lap - hopefully, if I got it correct.  :)
