Anyone know what the hack is to get computer opponents back up to speed? I
have the converted Daytona (the downloaded trk) and it works well but on
these other trks the cars are REEEAAL slow (20/30 mph). How do I get them to
be competitive?

Wow, that was a while ago, to be honest I really can't remember if David
or anyone else really fixed the AI problems on these tracks or not,
doesn't it say in the readme that he considers these tracks to be for
online racing only ?

Speak for yourself - that sounds competitive to ME... :-)

The AI in GPL doesn't like banked corners.  They're awful on most
ovals, especially the superspeedways and Miloval.

Yes but you'll have to forgive me...having just discovered GPL earlier in
the week, I have to start somewhere! ;-)

You just discovered GPL THIS WEEK?!?   Quick, put it away, right now -
in doing so without delay you just might have a chance of saving your
social life   ;)

Well, in that case you've got some fun times ahead of you, I mean, just
DL'ing and installing all the tracks and Gfx updates should keep you
busy for the rest of the year :-)

Keep you busy for the rest of *the* year?!! I think you meant to say
"keep you busy for the next *several* years". I'm still trying new
tracks, and the track developers keep cranking 'em out. In my case, I
suspect it is a subconscious trick to avoid spending time at
Nurbergring to get a decent time and bring my GPL Rank down. <sigh>
