but John, I tried that. It doesn't work in DOS, it doesn't work in
WIN95(I know I didn't mention that in my post). Doesn't matter if I
issue the NASREND or the N2REND command. When I start the game in
Win95 the machine locks up solid and requires a hard reboot. I had
read something where somebody mentioned that it made a difference
whether the game was installed from DOS vs installing through Win95. I
am having a hard time understanding what difference that would make
but would be willing to try it if somebody could verify this.
The game runs fine in 2D mode but the whole idea behind spending the
money for this new Rendition card was to play N2 in 3D mode.
I would prefer to run the game from DOS due to the performance
increase vs Win95 given a choice(and dislike for Bill Gates'
practices....go Linux). but hey, if I can only get 3D mode in Win95
then so be it.
Any help is appreciated. I have tried the Diamond tech support with
little success.
