Joystick & Wheel Questions

by Mark Johnso » Mon, 10 Mar 1997 04:00:00

I know there's been hundreds of posts on this already, but I had been
ignoring them since I was happy with the performance of my Gravis
joystick.  Until I got N2, that is.

I can't seem to get around any of the tracks without excessive tire
squealing and wear.  I've tried adjusting the joystick without much
luck.

Since it's effecting my enjoyment of N2, I guess it's time to get a T2.
Where can I get the best price?  My local Circuit City told me they were
no longer carrying it.  Best I've seen is $99 on sale at ChumpUSA.

Or should I hold out until Thrustmaster's new wheel with force feedback
is on the market (anyone know what it will cost?).  I thought I saw
another post that said N2 would work with force feedback.

Thanks in advance for any comments,

Mark

N2 very well may be patched to work with it, but I wouldn't trust a sub
$200 force feedback wheel.  It's a great idea and would be cool to try,
I just don't think it would hold up too well.  CH Product's ForceFX
stick only comes with like a 3 month warranty.  That doesn't make me
too confident in the durability of consumer level force feedback
controls.

Yeah I agree with a wait and see. This is a very young idea and it's bound to
have some growing pains upfront.
