% Does anyone know how to get Windows 95 to see the Thrustmaster T2 when
% it's tied through an A/B box with a joystick ??? I tried the
% Thrustmaster utility with no luck. I am using DirectX 5. I am tied
% through my AWE 32, would a dedicated joystick card solve the problem ???

Just curious, I've heard other reports of major problems with DirectX 5
and Thrustmaster wheels.  Will it see your T2 if it's plugged directly
into the gameport?  I think there maybe some problems with DirectX 5 and
some non-Microsoft hardware devices.

George R. Barton:  I don't know about the A/B switchbox setup, but I would
think that if you had a JS  installed Win95 detect which ever one you had
the box selected to at the time.  I know that if I am in the Game controller
app and unplug a JS, it reports it as undetected and finds it again as soon
as I plug it back in.  If your JS driver is installed and recognized, it
should work just fine.

Since you are using the SB 32 game port, I guess you are using the MS
drivers.  I am using the game port on my SB 16, DX5, T1 & T2 w/adapters and
a Logitech Wingman Warrior through a serial port.   All is well.

When I installed DX3, and then again with DX5, my JSs quit working.  All I
had to do to get them to work again was to remove then re-install the MS
joystick driver.  Have you given this a try?

Oh, and I think the only difference a dedicated card would " in this
situation " is that it would require the re-installation of the JS drivers,
which may have fixed the problem in the first place.
