Firstly I ordered from www.softwarefirst.com a Ferrari wheel. However it is
taking ages to arrive, apparently still at the suppliers. So as my holidays
are soon, YES I know im missing the release of GP3 Doh! I am considering
stopping the order and buying from somewhere else. I would just like too
know are there any better wheels than the Ferrari one, eg the almost
identical AVB. or the Act-labs.

Although AVB MagTurbo & Ferrari came from same OEM company, AVB Magturbo
made some improvement that Ferrari didn't have, like different button
layout, clamping system, foot pedals, lacks the gear shifter.

Kieran,
The clamping system is the same, identical, unless the pictures lie. I've
seen 2 versions on the AVB. An older one with one***and a new one with 2
screws. These are the same older and newer ones used on the Ferrari. The
pedal levers are the same, the pads and base a little different but with the
same textures. The buttons on the Ferrari are well laid out and hard to
improve upon, but that's a matter of taste, I suppose. And of course, the
Ferrari has the added stick shifter that's missing on the AVB. For $98 at
buycomp.com, the Ferrari's price will be hard to beat, and you get the nifty
little prancing horse logo.

I like AVB much more. If you go to Guillemot Web
http://www.racesimcentral.net/, many user
complain their technical support service. I think if you buy something over
$80, you will need a good service. Did you see any win2000 driver for
Guillemot wheel? why AVB has win2000 driver but Guillemot doesn't? (they
both came from same OEM company)
