I've watched the movie but not the extras yet. The movie in widescreen and
Dolby 5.1 was excellent. I've only seen parts of it on TV and had never had
a chance to watch it from start to finish.

Does anyone know if a region 2 version will be released for us Europeans?
Otherwise I'll have to buy a multi-region DVD player

Not that anyone asked for a review, but this DVD set is completely
worth the money. The remastering/recolorization of the original film
elements is vastly superior to the VHS version that came out several
years ago. Also, the 4 documentaries on the 2nd disc are very well
done, plenty of interviews with Frankenheimer, Garner, Brabham, Gurney,
etc.
If you like the movie Grand Prix I definitely recommend the DVD's,
they're a very nice package.

Best Buy in Olathe (Kansas City area) had a dozen copies on the shelf today.
After buying my copy, I wonder who else is hard-core enough into racing to
buy the other 11...
I was 15 yrs old when Mom took me to see "Grand Prix" at the theatre - I'd
just discovered the local slot car track, "Sports Car Graphic" magazine, and
Jim Clark.
I have 14 copies of Sports Car Graphic magazine 1966-1969, a July 1966 Car
Life, and a Feb 1969 Auto Racing. They're real "gems" - less specialized
than magazines today. They cover F1, Can-Am, other series, and sports cars
in general. How about the 1966 Targa Florio or the Sedona, AZ Hill Climb,
for example? ; )
