Turn off  (force triple color buffering for glide apps) in the advanced
properties in the voodoo drivers.

Is anybody else running into this yet?

In GPL menu screens there is a flickering going on - looks like an
unsynchronized and delayed video page flip - and now have mouse cursor
trails.  Also, in SCGT I am getting mouse cursor trails and the***pit
view flashes 2-3 times per second, similar to the GPL menus.  I have
not yet found a solution to these.  Looks like it will take a 3dfx
cleanout of the registry, followed by a reinstallation of the original
drivers.  The system is Win98 without the new service pack, and DX6.1
installed after the new drivers, per the instructions.

As far as the***pit view, it has always done that, even with
the old drivers. You have to refresh the***pit view with V or F4,
something like that.

What screen resolution/refresh rate are you using?  I had a similar problem
-- more severe though, I think -- with both GPL and SCGT flickering and
flipping at startup.  It seems the startup and menu screens in both games
are at 640x480, and the new V3 drivers' default refresh rate ("optimal")
didn't agree with my monitor.  It was kind of a trick, but I set my desktop
to 640x480 and then, fighting the flickering that resulted, I went to
display properties and reset the refresh rate to 75.  This stopped the
desktop flickering.  Then, even after I reset the desktop back my regular
resolution (1024x768),  both GPL and SCGT worked fine.  Just a thought.
