I was getting 22fps with all cars on monza grid, with new V3 drivers it is
max at 36fps.

800x600
p3 500
V3 3000
128ram
any body else have this increase?

Are you sure? I get a small slow-down with the new drivers. You haven't
changed any of the advanced settings like LOD bias have you, because that
will definitely speed the game up?
Do you mean the 1.5 drivers btw?

Very strange, the game is running faster for you than it is for me on a
P3-650/V3-3k. Are you sure it isn't something else, like you've turned down
the detail slider in GPL, because this makes a huge difference to the frame
rate.
With the bar on 3/4 I get 36 fps. With the bar at full I get 28 fps.
That's sat at the back of a full grid at Monza with all the details from the
in-car view at 1024*768. Those figures are virtually identical with both
the 1.05 and 1.04 drivers.

i've been hearin rumours of improved performance forcing the V3 to use the V5
drivers...

Gonne try it today and report my findings

Seems to be a slight improvement in image quality, and possibly a small
improvement in speed over the hacked betas (1.04.9c) i was using
