3dfx has released new drivers for the V3.  These new drivers get rid of the
"screen door pattern" that can be seen in the smoke in GPL and in other
games with alpha blended effects.  You can get them here:

Why aren't  the drivers available at 3DFX.com?  Are these "official"
drivers?

If that's right i'm buying V3 very soon! My banshee doesn't look to good
when compared to rendition v2200.

On the europe mirror of  3dfx there is at least a note about the new
drivers, but I can't find them in the download section.
But, what the f*** ! Currently downloading from voodooextreme ;-)

Not only does it fix any "banding" that occurs, it also apparently adds a
10% frame rate increase.

Sounds very nice to me.
