Voodoo3 latest driver has some problem to me.
Some kind of hickup occurs. But old driver doesn't.
I down-graded to older driver. Then there is no problem at all.

MGPRS2 was optimized for Voodoo 2.

NEW VOODOO 3 DRIVERS MAKE SCREEN "SLOWER", ORIGINAL (IN CD) WORK VERY WELL
IN mgpRS2, GPL , TOCA2 AND HALF-LIFE.
I JUST WONDERING, WHY NEW DRIVERS ARE THERE (3DFX SITE) ANYWAY?

Is there going to be a fix for the V3/MGPRS problem? It is really pissing me
off!

I used to have a problem w/a big stutter on my V2, especially when
turning with many ads banners in front of me.  What worked for me
(don't even remember who gave me ths tip) was:

-Go to your \Windows\Ubisoft dir
-Open ubi.ini in notepad
-In the [RS2] section, add a line that says TripleBuffering=YES

I'll check to see how my V3 is working - been playing too much H/L and
GPL lately ;).

HTH!

OK - just gave it a shot, and yes, it sucks w/the new drivers (go for a
spin round Monaco).

The solution is really simple, put the old Glide drivers in the MGPRS2
directory (glide2x.dll, glide2x.ovl).  I used drivers dated 4/5, which
are probably the originals, and the video is *much* improved.  Still
the occasional stutter in the hairpins, though.

Note that this works for any game you want to use the old Glide drivers
in.

Can you send me the old glide file, as I don't have it any more?
Thanks,
Iain
