Final version NOT the warez: heard that somewhere before ???

by * Leon » Thu, 27 Jul 2000 04:00:00

Hi

This sound amazingly familar :
" the final version of the game is not the warez version
that is floating around..........we updated the game before
release...."

I could not recall which game was it,
but it is so  " damage control " cliche
that has been used over and over again
yet it still could catch people....
:-)

Mankind is so guilible.....

Thanks and regards

Personally I think that the warez version in the final version... and if it
isn't it sure as hell isn't a beta... more like 99% version then... If there
are any differences between the warez and final version i will be hardly
noticable IMO...

Don't get your hopes up to high again....

It is not dissapointed me, i like warez version very much, but now all is
right i have full version and it is best F-1 sim to date. 3-axis support
dissapointed me but i heard that will be patched.

I'm really disappointed in tire modelling. Still we don't have tire
pressures, temps and camber (have i missed something ?). Well, maybe
Geoff thinks bridgestone takes care of them (or maybe in gp3 tires are
solid ***) and wet weather must be more important factor to include.

It's called resting on one's laurels.....

Which makes one wonder how much isn't modelled in the physics model if
we can't get this data....  tire temps and camber play a major part in
the physics of a race car.

Most of us knew that the Warez was the Final but alot of people in this Ng
just didn't want to believe that Crammond would release a product in this
state.  Although I will buy the Final version next month I am really
dissapointed that Gp3 is basically a patch for Gp2.  I had high expectations
for it.  I would never have believed that Crammond would have released a game
where you can not even hear the engine sounds of the other cars.  The split
axis problem is another joke.  And  the physics could use some fixing.   We
will all  throw out our  money again,  when Gp4 is released hoping to get the
perfect sim.

Nope, that's called a fly in amber ;-)  A snapshot in time.....   <G>

Actually I have thought of scrapping it, but I still get e-mail from
folks that find (at least the ICR2 stuff) helpful...
