There's warez for EVERYTHING on the net.  I try to ignore the bastards
that push that crap.  The only ones who benefit are 13-year-olds who
want everything before they have to work for it.
(I don't mean to insult 13-year-olds, I realize that most of them have
2 to 3 times the mental capacity of warez idiots).

Any legitimate gamer or consumer in general pays the price for their
little hobby.  I say let them stay in their own newsgroups, I'll leave
them alone in there, like the ***s and animal sex people...

If people want to have a hobby of breaking encryption and product
locks I say more power to them.  But when they start distributing
someone else's work for free for their own ego-trip it disgusts me.

Ya know what disgusts me?  People who belittle the tragedy of pedophila and
*** by grouping "warez' people in the same bunch.  Where do you come
off comparing these two very different groups of people?

On a side note, a LOT of companies still don't release demos for their
products.  You bet your ass I'm going to take a look at a warez version
before plucking my hard-earned money on a pile of shit.

Stop the madness.

Heheh, yeah, I guess that *** thing was a stretch.  Still, most
warez fans are NOT, you'll probably agree, just smart shoppers like
yourself.  They are collectors and thrill on the fact that what
they're doing is illegal.

Regardless of how useful warez may be to someone like yourself, the
community in general that support it are not helping consumers nearly
as much as they are hurting us by getting for free what we have to pay
for, driving our prices higher...

Now I'm going back to my *** newsgroups.  Moo if you need me...

I'll vote right here at this booth, thank you:

"Cracked" or "pirated" versions of software will be available until a
100% foolproff method of deterring same is invented.

However, I will always buy the legitimate product.

It makes me want to puke.  I know how hard the guys at Papyrus and the testers
worked on this for the past 3 years.  To see a pirated beta over the internet
just days before release really blows in my book.

I think anyone who thinks they're cute by spelling with a "z", probably
also haz baggy pantz, backwardz bazeball hatz, and crew cutz.  A follower
or pozer.  Not an original thinker.

Software theft isn't such a straight-forward issue. Small to medium-sized
companies producing great software need the financial support of the paying
public. When people that steal their products the company loses money that
they would otherwise have used for R&D and the worse will be their next
product. I would urge everyone to BUY the software from these manufacturers
that they intend to use.
On the other hand, an awful lot of software is written (or distributed) by
ONE extremely large company who use restrictive practices and strong-arm
tactics to quash their competitors. They have even disabled the products of
other vendors in their setup scripts - falsely claiming that they don't work
properly. Many of their ideas are 'borrowed'. They take perfectly good
standards and modify them for their own purposes. Their strength is their
marketing machine. They are prepared to release major software products with
thousands of bugs in it and then use that fact to sell the next version.
Their attitude is arrogant, shameless and heartless. The number of companies
that have gone to the wall with better products is a testimony to this.
Putting extra money into their already swollen coffers is something I ***
on every time I am forced to do it (and I am forced). If their products are
pirated, then I, for one, will not cry but one tear.

If a product is not ***I most certainly DO pay for it.  If you saw my
collection of original cd' and boxes here you'd know that.  It's not fair to
throw out a blanket statement like was written earlier in this thread.  AND,
I'm a developer myself!!  I see the ***Microsoft rolls out everyday and it
makes me sick to my stomach, but in an inperfect world we have to come up
with inperfect solutions to problems and pirating is one of those.  It saves
me a LOT of money.

And that, of course, justifies the act, doesn't it?

Therefore, to use your line of reasoning, if someone stole from YOU that
would be justifiable because it would save THEM a heap of money.

Sheesh!

The correct spellings for pirated/illegal/hacker's stuff on the internet are
all terms that end in "z".
example: Warez, FTPZ, MP3z, Appz, Filez, Gamez.. and so on.

So the original poster was not a follower, but just using the correct termz
:o)

Think about this.... If the full version isn't out yet, where did this one
come from. It sure wasn't bought off the shelf and posted now was it?
