> Theft, is theft, is theft, is theft.....get the picture?

perhaps a more appropriate line for this thread would be "steal the
picture?" :)
In which case that would be encouraging art theft... hmm, maybe
i should just shut up:)

If I released a pile of shit and thought I could  get away with it?  Sure!
Power to em.

Your narrowmindedness on this issue is really something.

>And that, of course, justifies the act, doesn't it?

>Sheesh!

Paul apparently endorses theft in the Robin-Hood-manner: you steal
only from the rich... :)

Actually I was very careful not to endorse software theft - I just said that I
wouldn't get upset. I believe that the company - that I never mentioned by name -
behave like legitimate theives but occupy the m***low ground (only the likes of
Rupert Murdoch stoop lower in the commercial world). I might care if they behaved in
a benevolent and philanthropic manner, but it seems to me that their only concern is
to achieve market *** not by releasing quality products but by obliterating
all their competitors by whatever means possible. Their leader sees himself as a
semi-deity and a seer and his employees re-enforce that for him. The regular vision
of him addressing thousands of pale-faced adoring nurds makes me want to chuck up
every time I see it. Robin Hood is an apposite analogy but not because he was
stealing from the rich but because he was shafting a complete bastard.

You're aware that GPL (subject line) is being produced well east of
Redmond, right?

I hardly think of Dave Kaemmer as "a complete bastard"... :-)

I've often had worse thoughts as I try in vain to keep up with him on
the track... =)

You're right. I have I tendency to go way over the top. And I wouldn't
dream of describing Dave Kaemmer as "a complete bastard" - he didn't do a
turn as the Sheriff of Nottingham, did he?
