Yellow flag issue still not addressed???

by Kasparo » Fri, 12 Dec 1997 04:00:00

Correct me if I am wrong but after streaming through the huge strings of
posts about the upcoming CPR patch, I failed to see Dean or anyone one else
address if there was going to be yellow flags added or not.  I have a bad
feeling that it is still going to be missing even after the patch is
released....am I wrong...was there a mention one way or another?  I feel it
is a very important feature and should be added at some point.  I hope the
CPR team feels the same way, otherwise I do not think they can rightfully
say that this is a sim.

Yellow flag issue still not addressed???

Unfortunately, I don't think that yellow flags will be in the upcoming
patch, but I'm still hoping that TRI will suprise us.  I wrote a private
email to Dean a month or so ago asking him when the Yellow Flag problem
would be addressed.....he reply basically said that they were working on an
acceptable way of handling yellow flags.  My guess is that the way the AI is
programed (I'm referring to their tecnique, not the current sad state of the
AI) it is difficult to implement a yellow flag condition.  My bet is that
they'll address is in the patch after this one, because although it is
definately a glaring ommission, fixing the AI under green flag conditions
takes priority.  Hope this helps a little.
