MOMO pedals are better. The pedal base is heavier, so it does not move
about. The dual articulated pedals also make gas and brake precision much
easier.
MOMO steering accuracy is better. This may be a function of my Formula
Force being a couple of years older. Either way, it's easier to maintain
the proper line in the corners.
Formula Force, with cables rather than gears, was/is much smoother. You can
feel the gears in the MOMO; feeling a bit notchy. The FF wheel did not feel
that way.
Formula Force has better feedback. It is stronger, and seems more accurate.
Not by much, but noticeable.
MOMO wheel has less play in bearings. Reportedly the MOMO has a huge metal
ball bearing in the wheel mechanism. The Formula Force has only plastic
bushings, which are only about an inch in diameter. Pictures of the MOMO's
bearings appear to be about 3".
MOMO buttons are harder to find when driving. This may be something that
just takes time to get used to.
MOMO wheel is not as grippy. The grippy *** on the original FF is easy
to hang on to. The leather on the MOMO is cool, but not necessarily better.
I would rather they canned the trademark name and leather, and save us some
money.
Overall the MOMO has improved my lap times and control. Actual feel,
subjectively, is not as good. Button placement, gear feeling, leather vs
***, etc, are the downsides. I'm hoping in time I'll get used the
differences. From a reality standpoint, the cable drive in the original is
much more realistic, no matter how used you get to the MOMO, to the gear
drive.

But, I said the same thing about my Ferrari Formula Force.. they should drop
the "Ferrari"....
But then you gotta think, is dropping the "MOMO" name gonna save them
money?? Think about how many more units they sold because people are like
"It says momo maaan". But hey, I ain't no marketing major :)

Have to disagree here, but there were different versions of the LWFF,
having a different quality of ff. The LWFF was smoother, but ff was
way weaker on my system.
Agree, the LWFF buttons were better. Especially the 2 bottom buttons
on the Momo can hardly be reached quickly without looking.
Matter of getting used to. For long races the Momo is really much more
comfortable than the LWFF.
