Sooooo what you are saying is you still have one good hand left AND a
finger and a thumb on the other hand, correct?  So whats the
problem... see ya next week.

Seriously, hope you get better soon.

Three wide, in theory, should not be a problem here or at Dega :)

I do try to avoid it at all costs though :)

You're pole in the practice race cost me a front row start at the Saturday
race, dammit :)

You just barely edged me out on Friday, so I pushed a little harder on
Saturday during qual.  On my throw-away Lap, I went just a _bit_ too high in
turn 1 and damned if the flypaper didn't reach out and snag my butt.  Of
course that was it for my qual time.

I ended up starting around 18th.  I don't think I've qualed out of the top 5
at a SS race with NR2003 ever until Saturday.

And the battle began, and it didn't go well.  I was happy with 8th when it
was all over :)

Well, if he was doing it right, and you followed his line, then I think all
of you could have gone faster.

Oh man, I got the giggles thinking about what Uwe said, I could see the look
on someone's face, as they walked in on him...

I picture Uwe doing what I have done over the years...  no I have yet to
make it to a Lan party to see how everyone else does it....

but you know, nowdays I got my FF wheel, and I shut off FF, during cautions
and the car will track straight and hold a line pretty well...  One of the
niceties of FF (MS types anyway) wheels...

and as you can see, even though Im not typiing over a wheel right now, I
still have probs typing out stuff ...  LOL

LOL.  I am sure you have had what happened explained too you by now,
but damn this post cracked me up.

I know there are the admin console commands to take care of these
things, but I am doing good to steer and work the pedals let alone
type in a bunch of cryptic console commands.

Psyched you out the night before. All part of my grand plan. :-)

To be honest, I never expected either of those poles. At the SS courses, it
always seems like you can do a perfect lap and still end up anywhere from
1st to10th.

Jan Verschuere

RASCAR Daytona....

by Jan Verschuere » Wed, 09 Jul 2003 07:04:13

You're right... there seems to be a fairly random element to it. Imagine my
surprise at being 7th... I didn't really bother as, as a driver, there seems
to be nothing one can do to get a good lap. Just drive it around pedal to
the metal twice and that's it.

Got an inside line spot and the field stretched out pretty good at the
start, so I got away with it. Kept my nose clean and some people around to
draft with and drove home a top 10. My first at a SuperSpeedway. Well
chuffed with that.

Is it your , you know,  your "primary" arm or your other arm.
The thought of it gives me shudders.
