Easy now... no need to get into seperation mode. People are just trying to
teach you to swim by dropping you in at the deep end. Everbody coming in
going to have some trouble getting used to the others. While it's true some
word their concerns better than others, no one wants to get rid of you.
Let's
take a step back and look at recent events.
I've just finished a draft incident review for PMP (which I will post to the
forum later); your number crops up 3 times but is not really implicated, so
although that was a difficult race for you (with the loose condition), it
went rather well.
Daytona and the two incidents involving you, me and Eldred... Well, as I
recall, in the one where Uwe was leading our little draft you were high and
Uwe, because of the odd line he drives, went even higher and dinged the
wall, me and Eldred went low. Not your fault. When Dan came upon you in the
middle of the track I think he misjudged your speed and had to lift and go
high. This effectively locked you in the middle because I didn't want to
lift and therefore went the other way. Bit of a hairy one, but it's hardly
fair to blame you for it. Just my 2 cents.
As for getting jammed up into the wall and generally used as a ping pong
ball.... sometimes it does seem like one can't buy a break in these races.
It's just a matter of riding out these rough patches.

Oh boy... get well soon.
I was joking at the race that your watercooled rig might have chucked a hose
and you were paling it out. I do apologise. I feel bad about that now.

Use the force Dave! ;-)
Seriously, it's that kind of discours that earned me the nickname Obi-Jan in
my league.

I did watch the replay Sean but you were blinkin pretty bad so its pretty
rough to see where anything happened. I wont deny something did happened
but Ive seen at least a few times you had a problem with the lead pack (in
my mind based on what Ive seen its your prob, but hey thats me). Maybe be
more specific so as not to offend everyone in the lead pack.
This was by far the best SS race Ive been in here in RASCAR (and not cause I
won either). Quite a bit of give and take no suicide moves that I saw.
One other consideration is the guy up top is *VERY* susceptible to warp.
During practice I was on the bottom line passing Ian and he just shot up the
track abruptly. I didnt feel anything but I knew it was a warp. Thankfully
during practice. I hope this didnt contribute to Ian's departure :-(
Point is don't start pointing fingers, take your lumps and go next week ;)
I doubt very much it was intentional as both cars would stand a good chance
of a wreck and if Im in the lead pack its not worth giving up a chance at
the win just to "run you into the wall".

While I have absolutely no problem with Dave getting his Lap back (it was a
system glitch), the way we did it could have been smoother. I didn't
understand what we were doing either, and almost ran over 10 people when the
green went.

That's what I thought was happening too. I thought they just asked for a
vote on it, then the boss was gonna give it back.
I didn't see anything about a slow green, but luckily I realized it before
getting into trouble.

I wanted to let you know why we passed you when we were in that 3/4 car
draft...
We were trying to get caught up, and we tried to let you stay up front for
several laps, but...
When you were entering the corners, you were drifting up towards the center
and then back down again. That was killing the draft speed. We really had
no choice but to go around you. We hadda go! :)
You can do that if you are at the rear of the draft line, but not at the
front. It kills _everyone's_ speed if the lead draft car is doing that.
In fact, there is an _advantage_ to doing that under certain circumstances.
That's a secret though :) But never when you're the lead car.
Just wanted to let you know so you didn't think I was a meany :)

Actually, I tolerated it for 12 laps :) I was half off the gas a lot of the
time. I wanted to give you the chance to stay at the lead of the pack, but
we eventually had to go around. The little push-ups in the corners was
killing the lines draft speed.
The lead car in a draft line really, really must run a clean, consistent
corner entry and exit or it kills the lines speed.
