Thrustmaster Ferrari Wheel or Logitech Formula Force??

Thrustmaster Ferrari Wheel or Logitech Formula Force??

Hey all!
I'm considering buying either of these two wheels soon, and I was just
wondering which you suggest. I'll be using it for:

Colin Mcrae Rally 2
Rally Trophy
NFS: Porshe Unleashed

and maybe even some GT3 on the PS2? :)

Which wheel do you suggest? I currently have the NON force feedback Logitech
(the yellow one) for about a year now, unfortunately it now has a bad case
of the jitters. I didn't mind that wheel at all, and I thought the pedals on
it were very confortable and I had no problems with them at all.

I read complaints about both wheels. I liked the feel of my non FF Logitech
a lot, and wouldn't mind the logitech FF since it's basically the same thing
just with FF. However, the Ferrari one looks different.. I like the shifter
idea, and it looks to be of better quality. The shifter reminds me of a
typical Rally Racing shifter, and I think that's cool!

Why not consider the Guillemot Ferrari wheel, too?  It's the original.  I am
still trying to pin down the exact differences between the two, but the
pedals on the Guillemot certainly look 100% better.

Marc, for some reason I can't find the Guillemot here.. The only differences
I've noticed from pics have been the pedals.. and I'm not happy with the
Thrustmaster Pedals much.. but a few modifications will get the trick done
:)

Thrustmaster Ferrari Wheel or Logitech Formula Force??

I saw the logitech momo wheel at best buys and it looks awesome.  If it
works as well as my old logitech FF I am sold on it.  I have heard they used
steel ball bearings instead of bushings internally, which puts it a step
closer to the high end wheels out there, for much less.  It also had a
genuine leather wrapped wheel, and aluminum pedals, for added looks.  I have
had two thrustmaster/guillemot wheels and they both broke within a year or
the bushing went out.  My Logitech FF is still going strong after two years,
with NO maintenance, and they constantly update the Wingman software.

Thrustmaster Ferrari Wheel or Logitech Formula Force??

I have the Thrustmaster Ferrari force feedback and a 2 year old Logitech
Wingman FFB. My take is the Logitech has better effects and nicer feel at
the wheel but the pedal travel is so small you have to be very careful when
accelerating or braking to avoid overreaction in sensitive games like GPL
and Nascar4. The Thrustmaster has superb pedals and more programmable
buttons on the wheel. Its a toss up. I wish I could combine the thrustmaster
pedals with the Logitech wheel. The Thrustmaster is also a good bit cheaper
$. That new Momo wheel looks awesome but the pedal travel is still small
from the unit I saw. Good luck. Either of these wont dissapoint you.

Thrustmaster Ferrari Wheel or Logitech Formula Force??

The Logitech Momo wheel with the MSFFW Pedals (the best pedals out there in
a consumer wheel, imho) would be a great combination too.  I wish there was
a way to do it :)
