Does it seem that in NASCAR 1999 the slightest bit of contact sends you
spinning?  It might be my setup or bad driving, but compared to NASCAR
Revolution its seems that you can have contact without wrecking.  Hopefully
in N3/2000 they'll make the car's more stable, or at least an option for
people with less skills to master the game.  ck

Well not having ever raced real NASCARs, I cannot say for sure but it would
seem to me that when all the cars are racing on the edge of their friction
circle, the slightest movement could easily send a car spinning.   I would
be tempted to think that Nascar 2 has this modeled better than Revolution.

Try NR99's "Arcade" mode of driving.  You won't get to
qualify, but it might be eaiser to drive. Let me know, too, since I've
never driven on Arcade.

Tried it, didn't like it.  The car actually seemed slower...you couldn't
spin the tires.

Your original post made it sound like you thought Realistic
was too difficult, so I thought maybe you WANTED to dumb down the
effects.... my misunderstanding...  It's been my experience that the
cars at least HANDLE like they should: NR99's problems tend to lie
more in the AI than anything else I can find.  I've had setups that
spun me out in the corners without MY help (or so it seemed!), but
using a different setup typically fixed that.
