N2 Newbie Help

Hi gang,

Well I finally broke down today and bought N2 and I cannot get the thing to
run. The game loads ok (MS/DOS install) and detects the sound card and the
joystick, a TM GP1. When I get to the controls screen it will not see my wheel,
either as a joystick or a wheel. N2 will only let me set the keyboard as the
controller. I keep getting a message that I need to load a mouse driver!!???
The mouse works fine but I reloaded the driver anyway, made no difference. When
I go to the game using the keyboard as the controller there is no sound. What
have I done wrong?

I did try to install the UniVBE driver but I get a "divide error" ?

ARGGGGGHHHHH!!

System:
Intel 233mmx
6.5 GB HD
Win95
64 MG RAM
24x CD ROM
Millenium 2 4MG card
TM GP1 Controller
TM Pro Panel
SB 16 Stereo

I successfully run ICR2, GP2, F1RS, TOCA, GPL, MTM2 Demo, CPR.

TIA,

No need to install UniVBE.  Did you check Start\Setting\Control Panel to make sure your
game controllers and or joystick is there and did you calibrate as per your game wheel
instructions?  This could be the cause.  What type of wheel do you have?

I got it to run! Big thank you to the US Pits site. With WIN95 B and FAT32 I
needed the patch and once installed it runs great. Thanks to all who responded.

Now for the 3DFX Patch!

Try setting up your wheel in windows95 first, then in the game.
