First of all I must say that this game is outstanding; I cut 38 laps
of practice at Michigan without even blinking.  Ricky Rudd was on my
ass the whole time too!
Anyways, I have questions.  The first one is important:  How do you
tell if the weight bias is right?  I can tell when it's drastically
wrong.  The car either spins out at the slightest turn, or the damn
thing turns like it's on snow.  Beyond that, eh....
Secondly, on a different note, is there a way to paint detail on the
car faster than pecking away with a mouse?  I keep trying to imitate
the highlights like all of the other cars have, but it's very hard to
calculate where a line should go.  I cannot seem to transplant something
from one car to mine, like you could in Nascar (1).  Is this possible?
Thank you!

Typically, you want the car neutral in the middle of the turn. You don't
want the rear end breaking loose, or the front in pushing out, in the
middle of the turn. The entry and exit to the turns are usually tuned
through the shock settings, and/or tire pressure.
Lot of good info on this at:

Sorry, I can't help ya much with the painting aspect.

Download Paint Shop Pro from the internet and export the cars to PCX files
from Nascar 2.   This gives you  a powerful painting tool to use for cutting
and pasting graphics onto cars.  When you are done, you can import the new
car you painted.  Beware of palette problems however.   Nascar2 is very
sensitive to the PCX files palette and if you paste something with a
different palette things will on occasion get messed up.   There are some
site that have painting help for palette problems along with car templates
to use when making original cars.  Go to www.theuspits.com and look at the
links page.   If you hunt around for a while you will find lots of cars
painted by others as well as the templates, tips etc.

Enjoy - this thing can be a blast.  /TomH
