Sound Problem With N2.

I have a friend with a Crystal PnP sound card.  I know, it is probably as
piece of crap.... but anyway, When he runs N2, the sound is running at like
double speed.    Does anyone know why this is happening or if there is a
work around for it? I believe he is running the 3dfx executable for N2 with
a DMVoodoo2.

I have a similar problem but i have a SoundBlaster 32.  I fixed it by finding
out that leaving the CD in the drive everytime you play N2 clears it up.  Ive
yet to find the actual cause though.
