One problem I'm experiencing with GPL is that it will not shutdown
properly. It goes to the credits screen, and if I hit return, the
screen goes black with a white cursor (stays at 640x480, versus my
normal 1024x768 res), with no sight of good old Win95. CTL-ALT-DEL
has no effect. The only way out is a hard reset of the PC. Anyone
got any ideas?

Hardware: P133, V1000, 32 meg EDO SIMMS, P5STE mb w/512 L2

I think GPL doesn't like hihger WINX screen resolutions. I run in 1280x1024
and I have to re-arrange my icons after EVERY GPL session!!

Eric, any ideas???

Try hitting the ESCAPE key after the credits not ENTER.......works just fine
for me.

This doesn't happen to me at any resolution. What card/drivers do you
have?

Using Win98, Stealth2, 800x600, I get the black screens, and sometimes
reboots!

I don't know if that's meant for me, but some follow-up info...

Intergraph Reactor, V1000
BIOS 1.02.103a (i3db1031.zip)
Win95 drivers 4.03.00.3130 (wn953133.zip)

The black screen on exit happens (from the credits screen) whether I:
hit return,
hit escape, or
let it exit normally.

It only happens when I exit, it doesn't lock up prematurely or
anything.

It doesn't reboot by itself, just sits there. The hard reboot is
required to get any response.

It didn't do this when I first installed the game, but had
developed over the last several days.

UPDATE: in the process of adding a new Abit BH6 mb, Celeron 300A,
and 64 meg of PC100 memory, this problem has disappeared (GPL shutdown
brings me back to Windows in my proper resolution now).

Oh, and the frame rate seems a bit better now, too. :) :) :)
