gpl demo doesn't work?

gpl demo doesn't work?

I can start up the gpl demo, I can play it for about 30 seconds before it
locks up. After it locks up, I restart my computer, then i try and play
again, if i click on any button, the game locks up.
My system is:
Tyan s1836dlu motherboard
p2 266
128 megs of ram
9.1 gig scsi hard drive
1 diamond 12 meg v2 card
matrox millenium 2 8 meg agp for 2d
i think that's enough information on my computer, right?

If I reinstall the game, i'll be able to play for 30 seconds again before it
crashes.
Also, when I am playing the game, the sound is completely messed up, i can
hear stuff, but its basically gargle, fast gargle when i rev the engine,
slow gargle when i let it idle. Also, video is very bad. I have to turn the
graphics all the way down to be able to play without it being extremely
choppy.
I don't want to buy the game just yet, because i'm not sure if i'm going to
like it or not! So if anyone can help, please do.

gpl demo doesn't work?

The demo didn't work for me either... but I found a copy of GPL for $12 at EBAY
and picked it up anyway because the game looked cool.  Final version works great
on my 200mmx pentium 80ram with STB Blackmagic 12mb card.  And I was right...
the game is really cool and very ***ive.
