GPL doesn't work with new monitor - Sony 20SE

Have upgraded to a bigger monitor but GPL is unusable!! Graphics squashed
into half of the available space and 8 colour graphics. It's not possible to
negotiate through menu's to test in car view.

Monitor is a few years old - works fine for everything else including Papy's
Nascar2002 demo. Graphics card is GF2 GTS and monitor equiv of Sony
multiscan 20SE (Sun gdm20e20)

Any help appreciated...

The replacement monitor probably needs setting to the resolution and
frequency being output by your vid card.

There should be some adjustment controls on the monitor to resize the image
correctly on the screen. In most monitors this setting is held for each
resolution and/or frequency so you may have to set it several times for the
different resolutions our games use.

<snip>

Are you running GPL in a window? On my PC, that also happens (with
weird purply effects) unless I'm in 16-bit colour. Full-screen,
everything's fine.

Thanks a lot David and Andi. Went to 16bit colour and bingo. Had me worried
for a while there tho...
Cheers
